It blocks as much as 93% of radiation (summer heat gain) and 50% to 70% of winter heat loss through the ceiling and roof. The floor, ceiling and side walls are all insulated. To ensure long term duarbility from chewing and clawing, the sidewall insulation is protected by a lightweight mahogany plywood liner.

Completely waterproof, our pet mats provide an efficient moisture barrier on a dog or cat house floor, and also serves as an effective birthing mat.

Your unit will be approximately 26″ tall, with a trunk approximately 3″ in diameter and a base approximately 8″ wide by 3 1/2″ thick. There are felt pads on the base protect your floors. The feather toys will sway and turn with the slightest air movement. If you place the scratcher where there is some air movement your kitty won’t be able to resist it.

And, this scratcher has a mouse hole with mouse! Well, a ping pong ball that acts like a mouse. When your kitty probes in the 6″ deep hole for the ball it rolls up and away, then when she removes her paw from the mouse hole the ball comes back with a “pong” sound. It has been shaped, scraped, and hand sanded smooth yet retains its natural appearance. There are interesting contours and textures for your cats scratching pleasure. The creamy wood is hard enough for satisfying scratching yet not so hard as to splinter and stick in the cats paws. The red heart and knot wood is very fragrant and the reason eastern red cedar is also known as aromatic red cedar.
