The Seriously Intelligent Cat

Understand your cat better and your appreciation for him or her only goes through the roof.

Cats are much much more intelligent than we feel they are…and simple behaviors prove that.

If the correct definition for the term “Intelligence” would be “the capability to acquire and remember information and also the ability to use it in solving diverse problems”, then the cat is surely one of the most intelligent animals from all those surrounding us. It’s at times alarming how powerfully smart your cat may be when necessary.

For quite a few dog owners to look at cats, there’s that knowing, “ewwww” factor as if the dog is much more intelligent than the cat. Not true. It comes down to instincts.

Try to put an adult cat in a room in which she has certainly never been before and see how she is inspecting every corner of that room. This detailed search gives her valuable information regarding the environment, details that will even save her life in some cases. Truly, the curiosity specific to cats never harmed them, to the contrary it gave her the reputation of having nine lives!

We all know how the capacity that cats have to inspect surroundings is legendary, but, at the same time it has been proven that this ability is superior to that of any other domestic animal.

In the same way, cats can’t claim revenge for a past punishment.

In conclusion, do not underestimate the intelligence of the cat! Attempt to greater know your pet and act in such a manner so that living together may be a beneficial experience for both of you.
